The Only Superstar

Though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor,
Had no form or comeliness, no beauty that we should desire Him,
Poor and had no beauty, the things world look for,
Yet came to declare the acceptable year of God, to save, to heal, to Love,

The One Who came, was shamed, beaten, and suffered,
when He was reviled, did not revile in return, nor threatened,
Even though being in form of God, became a man, no reputation,
Was obedient to the point of death, forgave at last breath,

In Whom was not found any deceit, JESUS, The Only Superstar,
